A Touch of Spice

I've been lucky enough to start off 2012 spicing things up by spending Jterm in Greece. Way more exciting then taking a philosophy class in Parkland, right?

Today some of us decided to try to see the acropolis from a new point of view, during the sunrise. We woke up early, walked to the perfect viewpoint for pictures, and waited.

Once the sun began to rise, our view of the acropolis changed. It became so much more intriguing that it already was, with all the different colors and lights behind and around it.

After the sun had risen, we walked to another viewpoint where we were able to look out over the city as well as see the back of the acropolis. I think at this point I was starting to realize how many different ways there are to look at the same thing. From around my apartment, the acropolis seems so small, but once you get closer you see how majestic it really is. At night it's all lit up, but when the natural lighting hits it just right, it seems to be most beautiful.

I think no matter the situation, sometimes all it takes is a new perspective, or a change. Sometimes that change might just turn out to be the spice of life.
