A Touch of Spice and Herbs

A touch of spice can be taken in many forms: eating, healing, personality traits and more.

Lavender: Lavender is a herb that reminds me of my trip to France and my love for travel. Lavender also brings me great comfort because it makes me feel at home. In greece, on friday a group of us went to the beach. We arrived about an hour before sunset and we were able to run in the water and i felt right at home. We watched the sunset as a group and we all embodied the beauty of the water mixed with the setting sun. At dinner we all laughed and shared memories that i will never forget, this is the first touch of spice.

Cumin: Cumin reminds me of spicy, feisty moments. Multiple times in Greece, I have been to the flea market. Trust me it is a first place. Store owners yell out to us, who obviously know we are american and try to get us to come in their store. It is a very crazy yet amazing experience, there is everything you could ever imagine you could want. I LOVE IT! My second spice added to my collection.

Nutmeg: I attempted so hard to find a good spice to explain Delphi and this is my best shot. Delphi was the most break taking place i have every been! The scenery that was looked upon while touring the ruins took my breath away. I will never ever forget the small town, and hope someday to retire there. Third spice.

Vanilla: Corfu. was. AMAZING! With bleak weather on the horizon we all prepared for rain but as we landed in Corfu we were met by sunshine! The Island has a rich history due to all of its conquerors and it is noticeable in their architecture and food! Though museums aren't my favorite, i enjoyed touring the palaces in Kerkyra. Fourth spice.

Throughout the trip i hope to continue picking up new spices along the way. When i arrive home i will have collected a touch of spice from every aspect of Greece that i can!

S'agapo,
Alex
