Losing my Head

Today was an amazing day.  I realize that practically each of my blog posts has that line in them somewhere but it is true.  I'm losing my head over the beauty and the incredible time that I'm having in this country.  And that is precisely what I'm going to be talking about today.
Each day that we have been here it has literally just gotten better and better and it never ends.  It all started out on the plane, despite it being a crazy long flying experience it was also really fun and the start of our great adventure.  Then it was Athens by Night, dinner together at a family owned restaurant, flea market, meat market and exploring, cable car to the top of a hill overlooking Athens, Acropolis Museum, day trip to Delphi, and then today farmers market and the beach.  We have been having class each day as well and learning lots about the history of Judaism and Greek gods and culture throughout the country which to me is also extremely interesting.
I think that we knew that this trip would be amazing but we had no idea the magnitude of the beauty of the country and the welcoming nature of the people here.  I have already learned so much about the culture here by walking through the streets and seeing the differences and similarities in the way that people act and do things here.  As an anthropology major I am extremely curious about the way that people behave and think in different countries and now I am learning about how religion can shape that as well.  This is just adding to my knowledge and makes me want to learn even more.
Overall this J-term in Greece has been amazing and we haven't even been here for a week yet.  We keep saying that each day gets better and better and it's completely true.  This group of us here including Professor Finitsis and Lace really makes the experience.  I appreciate everyone  and their contribution to our class and our time here.  To me losing my head symbolizes the blowing of my mind that has been happening every day that I am on this trip and the way that unexpected things are coming up all the time that make each day a little bit better than the last.
