Losing my head; Why? Cause I can't see my forehead!

So, I thought I would take a different approach to my blog tonight because I was a little lost for a topic. It wont be philosophical or intellectual, just pretty straightforward. Today we traveled an hour by tram along the BEAUTIFUL coast of Athens. We arrived around 4:30pm and it took us a little while to actually find the beach from the station but when we did, the sun was reflecting off the waves. We ran around in the Aegean Sea until our feet were numb. When the sun began to set on the horizon we ran up a hill to a cliff with a great view. After the sun set, we all put our coats back on a headed down the hill. We found a lifeguard hut that had a fireman pole and Zach, Austin, and Andrew braved the heights and tried it out. While I was waiting I found a little squared sponge and immediately thought of Spongebob Squarepants. Earlier Christine had found a starfish in perfect condition, so I told her to take it out. Then I took a picture of Spongebob and Patrick. As I mentioned, this would be a 'different' blog post. After I uploaded my pictures this picture made me think of how I love to sit at home after class and watch Spongebob. If I want to get a little philosophical, I suppose that I could always make the connection of Patrick and Spongebob to the friendships we're all forming. For example, it was very apparent at dinner tonight that almost everyone feels pretty comfortable with each other. I'm glad that in this environment I'm becoming friends with people I would'nt have known otherwise. I do realize how dorky it is to love kids shows at 19, but I can't explain it. I don't necessarily miss television but I miss my relaxation time at home. I also miss watching all of the college football bowl games. I really love sports and just the competitive aspects of participating and watching them. So that's something I've had to really get used to here. It has been really had to work out or run, mostly because I'm afraid of getting run over or lost. And it has been so different to not watch college basketball or football, which are my favorites. I've started to get somewhat homesick, after one week but I love being here and I don't want to leave.
