The Good Life (Cue One Republic Music...)

That's definitely one way to describe my time here in Greece. Livin the good life. I woke up this morning to the sound of the waves crashing, went downstairs to find a bunch of food set out all ready for me to eat for breakfast, and someone came and poured me coffee. I'm not complaining! After class we took a trip to the acropolis of Rhodes, where we had the choice to either run in the old stadium, or perform in the ancient theater. Surprise surprise, I opted not to run. Especially considering I was wearing a dress. Oh yeah, did I mention it was 60 degrees today? So a bunch of us sang/danced/just awkwardly moved (I would probably fall under that last category) to a very weird combination of songs we performed: "I'm Yours," followed by "Dynamite." But we were in a theater that's thousands of years old! So I didn't really care how silly I looked. We then walked up to the acropolis, took some pictures of the amazing view, then continued to walk about 500 feet (?) until we reached the other side of the island. That's right folks, we were surrounded by ocean. Look to the left, there it is. Look to the right, oh, there's some more ocean. We sat there for probably about an hour waiting to catch the sunset. Beautiful weather, check. Beautiful view, check. Great company, check. How much better could life get?

It's crazy to think that we've been here for over two weeks, and now have less than two weeks left. It seems like the second we get a chance to really adjust, we get whisked away. Going home is going to take some re-adjusting I'm sure. Even though it will be really sad to leave, I think that being here for such a short time, at least for me, might be a blessing. It's made me really remember to live in the moment and really cherish every minute I spend here. Because this really is the good life!
