Favorite Things

Hello!  So if any of you were freaking out yesterday after reading my blog post do not fear.  I didn't actually bump into any artifacts at the National Archaeological Museum.  Part of what we learned in class yesterday was about exaggerating details for more entertaining reading.  Sorry that I had to do that to you.
Today we had a free day and so a lot of us went and took a bus to the Temple of Poseidon about an hour and half down the coast.  We scaled some rocks and ate lunch on a cliff overlooking the beautiful ocean.  Then a few of us climbed down to the ocean by way of slanted rocks and enjoyed the view from there and seeing the waves crash on the rocks.  It was a wonderful day and on the bus ride back we played a game that we call questions.  It's where someone comes up with a question such as what is your biggest fear and everyone in our group goes around and shares their biggest fear for example.  I love this game because it allows everyone to share things about themselves that normally people wouldn't know.  Today as we were riding home and listening to everyone's answers I was really appreciating that everyone was willing to share such personal things about them and I got the idea for what I wanted to write my blog about.

I'm going to be blogging today about my favorite things about each person on our trip.  Hopefully I can share some of the things that I appreciate about the people in our group and you can learn something as well.

Lauren, Jill, Khadijah, and I
Jill:  I love your curly hair and the way that face lights up with laughter when I called you Jilly and hug you.

Lauren:  I love the way that you come into my room and open my shades in the morning and in a soft soothing voice tell me good morning.
Jill, Lauren, and I
Markelle
Khadijah:  I love your loud laugh and the way your energy goes on forever and you never stop dancing or singing.

Markelle:  I love your style and the way that you are up for anything and always willing to figure out the bill and payment for everyone at meals.

Alex:  I love your mane of hair and your mama bear ways.

Alex
Leah:  I love your new haircut and the way that no matter how many layers of clothing you are wearing that it is never enough because you are still cold.

Christine:  I love how you will say whatever is on your mind, I really do, and how we had a conversation that lasted about 10 blocks about Spanish.

Katie:  I love how we used to hang out together in choir last spring and that you don't get freaked out by small talk.

Jessica:  I adore the beautiful pictures that you take and love that your blond hair attracts all of the men in this country and that sometimes it's helpful, like when we need to know if our bus is coming or not.

Alex, Markelle, Jill, and me
Maddie:  I love how sweet you are and your new hair color, seriously it looks great on you.

Kirsten:  I love our conversation that we had about Europe and other countries when we were in  Delphi and the fact that although you are quiet your personality gets to shine through in our partner presentations that we do.
Kaitlyn, Khadijah, me, Andrew, Jill, Alex, Leah, and Markelle

Kaitlyn:  I love that you are so willing to get into our theme for our presentation and I like your new red streaks in your hair.

Akira:  I love your gorgeous flowing black hair and your awesome sense of humor, especially in your presentations in class.

Markelle, Jill, Austin, and Andrew
Austin:  I really appreciate your directional skills and how easy-going you are.

Andrew:  I love your delayed Andrew Laugh and how great a listener you are.

Richard:  I appreciate your input and questions in class and how you are always willing to go places with someone from our group if they would otherwise be going alone.

Zach:  I love how enthusiastic you are about everything and how pumped up you can make the entire group just be being happy.

Zach
Lace:  I appreciate how you have been helping us out with our photo taking abilities and that you are up for any trip with us.

Professor Finitsis:  I appreciate how you think a short walk means that it is under 45 minutes, how often you reference Harry Potter, and that you keep us so busy that we can't help but have fun every day.
