I adore the curious and the knowledge-thirsty.
I respect those who flirt with "Why?"
Life and all its ensuing mysteries are not something one should blindly accept. The truth comes only through questioning, pestering, asking until there is evidence to support or contradict. Truth is not limited to one subject but should permeate all aspects of humanity: religion, science, music, literature, and language. I am saddened by the innumerable masses who follow, like sheep, the so-called 'truth' that larger, seemingly more powerful, corporations propagate. Certainly it is comforting to fall into a pattern of mindlessness. It is always easy to accept what you are told and smile like a fool as you condemn those who do not fit within the precious notions you guard without question. It requires no effort to follow, to "believe," to cast your eyes down and walk with the lumbering herd.
But what is life without the word "Why?" It is an endlessly frustrating question for parents, teachers, underclassmen. And to me, "why" is the most perfect manifestation of wisdom. You will understand nothing, you will find no grain of truth in this world without the constant use of "why." She is a simple dame, beautiful in her symmetry and exceptionally well-rounded. Her eyes, bright as sea stones, beg the truth while her mouth curves upwards in another question.
"Why" should be the consort of all. Her subtle allure should entrance each person to court her, keep her as a comfortable bedfellow--lay with her and listen to her tender whisperings against the pillow, as she never accepts, only asks. Only wonders as to the reason behind the every move of the universe.
Her constant company begets wisdom.
Her lack fosters only sheep-like ignorance.
