A Touch of Spice in My Sock...OOFTA

Today...I ruined a perfectly good sock.

I have been so excited to be here in Greece and trying to experience so much that I have been ignoring warning signs from my body. Apparently, one of my toenails got a little aggressive against my neighbor toe. Needless to say, my toe lost and the battle got a little violent.

For most of the day, I felt a slight ache in my toe, but I assumed it was because I am working on breaking in my new TOMS (with socks because that is faster). But I was having so much fun having lunch with the other students, exploring the flea market again, and rushing to get back to Pangrati (our neighborhood) for our movie night at the CYA that I didn't even notice the pain.

I learned something new today, other than interactions with the locals today-which were plenty-I need to listen to my body. ALL THE TIME.

Bloody sock, bloody sock;
La la la la, when I walk.

On a side note, one local I met spent 10 minutes telling me how much he loves Sleepless in Seattle, the movie. He was SO excited to hear that we are from Seattle.
