This has got to be the good life

On Sunday a group of us went to the island of Symi. It is considered the island were all the celebrities go. So when we realized that we could only go on Sunday’s we decided with little though that we would definitely be going!

After the 45 minute ferry ride (on rough water) we approached the beautiful and colorful island of Symi. Immediately I stood up and said “This is were I will spending my honey moon!” Luckily everyone among us was thinking the same thing! To give you a brief description the island is sprinkled with houses of bright and exuberant colors that immediately draw you in. After touring the port we stopped at a little cafĂ© for some coffee. The people who owned the restaurant were some of the nicest people I have ever met. I thought to myself that these are truly what we know as “nice Greeks!”

After lunch Zach, D, Markelle and I went swimming in the Aegean. It was so windy that when we attempted to get out of the water, the wind was tossing us around  it was worth it though! Afterwards we spent the afternoon enjoying a relaxing lunch and enjoyed each other’s conversation.

When we stepped onto the ferry to leave Symi, I definitely experience that I was living the good life. On this trip we have visited 2 islands, the Peloponnese, Delphi and Athens and there is still more to come! I have seen 4 sunsets and have had the most memorable experience here. Truly this trip is the good life.

S’agapo,
Alex
